My friend Blaine sent me this link and I must say - accurate! Ha, it gives a break down of the city’s scents by neighborhood. Love it. Sadly, my neighborhood - Upper West - is oddly omitted. But Central Park North describes it pretty well. The warm air today mixed with yesterday’s rain made for some amaaaazing smells today: less city grime and more flowering trees:) I highly recommend that you take a whiff before the muck returns!
Nutella crepes in Chelsea Market? Yes, please.
My sister came to visit—it was so sunny!
Washington square park in February…can you feel spring??
My sister is in the Big Apple! More photos to come:)
PBJs in central park? Yes please. Next stop: FAO Schwartz.
Today, I’m trying my hand at a new aspect of city life — parenthood! While their parents are out of town, I’ll be exploring the kid-friendly side of NYC with Jaden (4) and Thalia (6). Here goes nothing….
All in a days work: My new room. It took three painting volunteers, two men from ikea, and exactly one chocolate cupcake to move me in yesterday. It’s a work in progress:)
From Jess: Your blog will be the only one I follow on a regular basis. I promise to be as grammatically correct as possible, but please be gracious. I struggle with with comma placement. But enjoy the city life. Think of me when you walk the streets. One of my favorite scents is laundromat smell. Document progress of apartment painting/ set up excursions. And maybe paint a wall purple for kicks :)
2pm update — marissa stopped by between classes. Half of the room down, half to go!
